Join Adam and the #CLFamily on Sunday 13th September 2026 for the Worcester City Run. Take on the 10km or the Half Marathon to support the incredible Haematology Team at Worcester Royal Hospital and run alongside the inspirational Adam Claxton.
Run With Adam
This is Adam, Adam was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) at 41 years old. While the word “leukaemia” was terrifying, Adam’s background in martial arts immediately kicked in. When his consultant described the cancer as “acute and aggressive,” Adam’s internal response was: “I’ve got to be even more aggressive.”
On the July 14th, 2025 Adam was told he had relapsed, now a little over a year on, Adam is taking on the Worcester 10k with his wife Joanne. Adam’s story is one of resilience, strength and determination.

How to Register
We have secured a number of places in the race that we are able to offer to our supporters, like yourself, allowing you to take part in an epic running challenge while also raising money for blood cancer patients!

£15 entry fee | £200 Minimum Fundraising
Open to runners aged 15 and over. Perfect for first-timers and seasoned runners alike.
Worcester Half Marathon
£25 entry fee | £350 Minimum Fundraising
Open to runners aged 17 and over. Take on 13.1 miles through the heart of the city.

If you have an injury, please contact running@cureleukaemia.co.uk and let us know as soon as possible. We may be able to offer a deferral.

If you’re unable to meet your target, please contact our team.
- Minimum age limit for 10k participants is 15 years old on the day of the event. Anyone born on or before September 13th 2011
- Minimum age limit for Half Marathon participants is 17 years old on the day of the event. Anyone born on or before September 13th 2009
Children aged 5-15 years can be entered in a Families on Track Team. At least one team member must be over 18.
