Cure Leukaemia is proud to announce that its flagship cycling challenge, London 2 Paris (L2P), marked its 10th anniversary in June 2025 by raising an outstanding £501,894. This milestone brings the event’s total fundraising since its inception to over £3 million, directly supporting the delivery of potentially life-saving treatments for blood cancer patients.

The money raised in 2025 alone will fund the equivalent of 10 specialist research nurses for a full year across the UK. These nurses are the critical link between patients and new treatments, helping to identify eligible participants, recruit them into cutting-edge clinical trials, and provide expert care throughout their journey. Their work ensures that patients gain access to pioneering therapies—often years before they become widely available.

Professor Charlie Craddock CBE, Co-Founder of Cure Leukaemia, said:

“London 2 Paris is an amazing event that brings together patients, families, and supporters to directly transform outcomes for people with blood cancer. The funds raised this year will enable the equivalent of 10 research nurses to deliver innovative clinical trials across the UK, ensuring that patients receive the best possible chance of accessing life-saving new treatments.”

Cure Leukaemia CEO James McLaughlin highlighted the ride’s long-term impact:

“London 2 Paris has been absolutely vital in funding clinical trials networks across the UK, providing the infrastructure to run world-class clinical trials and is only possible because of events like L2P. To raise over £500,000 this year and surpass £3 million in 10 years is an extraordinary achievement, and 2025 stands as one of the most successful rides yet.”

Among the 2025 peloton was George Lineker, who first took on the challenge in 2015 and returned to celebrate the tenth anniversary:

“London 2 Paris is incredibly tough – four days of long miles really test you, especially when the weather was against us this year, but it’s also one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Coming back 10 years on and seeing patients and supporters riding side by side was brilliant. It shows exactly why this event matters so much.”

With demand for places already surging, Cure Leukaemia confirmed that 50% of entries for London 2 Paris 2026 are already sold.
