Leading international quality group G&P has joined Cure Leukaemia’s Club 10 programme, a charitable initiative that supports life-changing blood cancer research and treatment for children across the UK.

By each pledging £10,000 per annum over the next three years, members of Club 10 will support funding of the world first ATICUS Paediatric Transplant Trials network. A unique collaboration between the UK’s leading children’s hospitals, Paediatric Transplant Trials enables clinical trials of innovative treatments for children undergoing stem cell transplants.

With a new blood cancer diagnosis confirmed every 27 seconds, Cure Leukaemia is committed to supporting the innovation and infrastructure needed to connect patients to groundbreaking new treatments. Continued support is pivotal to maintaining research progress and delivering important breakthroughs.

Thanks to the charity’s pioneering work, Cure Leukaemia is helping to drive significant global advancements in cutting-edge treatment options, helping patients all over the world affected by the disease to receive potentially life-saving care.

Dino Kyriacou, owner and CEO of G&P, commented: “Initiatives like Club 10 are essential in the understanding and treatment of blood cancer. With upwards of £1m needed every year just to fund the paediatric network, widespread support is needed to maintain the charity’s vital work.

“Every single one of us has been affected by cancer at some point in our lives – friends, colleagues, neighbours, family members or even ourselves. I’ve seen first-hand the importance of the work undertaken by Cure Leukaemia and hope that our support can help to encourage other businesses to consider initiatives like Club 10 in their corporate social responsibility plans.”

Having supported Cure Leukaemia as its chosen charity partner for the past two years, G&P has been involved in several major fundraising initiatives. These events have not only helped to raise vital funds for the charity, but also provided an important teambuilding opportunity for G&P staff.

Pete Woakes, UK operations manager at G&P, said: “With team members spread across all over the UK, charitable fundraising initiatives provide an inspiring way to get staff working together towards a positive goal.”

We are delighted to welcome G&P Quality Management Group as the latest Club 10 member supporting the ATICUS Network and Cure Leukaemia. Their commitment will help accelerate pioneering treatments and vital clinical trials, offering real hope to patients and families affected by blood cancer. We’re thrilled to have their support as we continue working towards a cure.”Bhupinder Dhillon, Business Development Manager, Cure Leukaemia

Club 10 was founded by Cure Leukaemia to fund the annual cost of the UK’s blood cancer paediatric network. With ten businesses from ten cities nationwide each committing £10,000 per annum for the next three years, the initiative will help families to find innovative new treatments, medicines and combinations to tackle the disease.
