Cycling for cancer
Ride with us this September
We’re proud to have been selected as an official charity partner for Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 ride.
‘Blood cancer is the most common cancer in children and teens’
Tour de 4 will accelerate the progress of the groundbreaking ATICUS Network, a world-first initiative dedicated to revolutionising treatments for children with cancer.
By taking part in a regional ride or organising your own ride will directly support the opening of clinical transplant trials and provide children battling blood cancer with access to the most advanced therapies available, across the 11 children’s hospitals that form the ATICUS Network.
Without The ATICUS Network, there is no coordinated way for children to take part in these vital studies, meaning many are missing out on the latest advances in care.
“I am delighted that Cure Leukaemia is one of our official charity partners for 2026. Through Tour de 4 supporting Cure Leukaemia and their world first ATICUS Network, the funds raised will help children battling blood cancer.”
Sir Chris Hoy
“As a treatment team in Glasgow caring for children and young people from across Scotland, we are delighted that the ATICUS Network has chosen to support our work. Their fundraising will help us strengthen collaboration with leading centres across the UK, ensuring every child, wherever they live, has access to the highest standard of care and the most innovative, promising new therapies.”
Dr Nick Heaney, Consultant Haematologist, The Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.
'The effect that this is going to have help children with cancer is incredible'
Hear from Al Dickson, whose daughter Liv who was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) aged 12, who shares his thoughts on the impact the Tour de 4 will have on children and families who are facing the same battle his own family faced in 2020.
