Last week, we were delighted to attend the latest RBC Brewin Dolphin entrepreneurs Club for an evening with our Patron’s Ben Foster and Jonathan Trott, discussing the crossover between elite sport and business to a room full of regional entrepreneurs.
The evening brought together a dynamic group of business leaders and entrepreneurs to explore the intersection of high performance, resilience, and charitable impact. Adding a touch of sporting excellence to the proceedings were two of our most dedicated ambassadors: former England and Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster and England cricket legend Jonathan Trott.
Beyond their sporting careers, both spoke passionately about why they choose to support Cure Leukaemia. Their involvement helps shine a light on the pioneering clinical trials we fund, which give patients across the UK access to treatments that would otherwise be unavailable.
Really great evening yesterday at an event hosted by RBC Brewin Dolphin, thanks for the invite Mabs Ali Brilliant to hear from Ben Foster and Jonathan Trott, sharing honest insights from elite sport. A lot of what they spoke about really stuck with me, especially around what it actually takes to win consistently. There were clear parallels between sport and entrepreneurship. discipline, resilience, dealing with setbacks, and showing up every day when it’s not easy. Always valuable to step outside your own world and hear how high performers in different arenas think and operate. Looking forward to more conversations like this.
