In an inspiring display of hope, resilience, and unity, over 3,000 riders, including 120 riders riding for Cure Leukaemia, took to their bikes for Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4, raising a incredible, total of over £2.7 million so far for cancer charities.
The incredible total was officially announced by six-time Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy, capping off a remarkable event designed to challenge perceptions of living with stage 4 cancer and accelerate life-saving research, and we were delighted to be a Charity Partner of the event.
It was amazing for so many existing #CLFamily members come together with an array of new faces, all to ride together to support Cure Leukaemia – thank you to you all!
Our incredible team of riders included Gaby Novelli who was diagnosed with CLL (Chronic Lymphatic Leukaemia) in January this year, and rode the Red Route on Sunday, raising over £4,700!
Long standing CL supporter Mark Nicholas , who’s life was saved by a Stem Cell Transplant, and a number of riders from the Kenilworth Knackers came together in Glasgow to ride with the #CLFamily and have raised over £4,500 so far!
Taking place during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the event served as a vital platform to highlight the critical need for advanced treatments for young blood cancer patients, which saw children and their families riding with the #CLFamily.
Funds raised for Cure Leukaemia from the event will directly accelerate the progress of the ATICUS Network—a world-first initiative dedicated to revolutionising therapies and trial access for children across the UK. This vital support ensures children battling blood cancer gain rapid access to pioneering treatments and novel clinical trials.
