Richard has over 20 years’ experience as an Indirect Tax advisor, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He is a partner at KPMG, where he advises charities and public sector bodies on a wide range of VAT issues related to their operations and capital projects.  He has helped a large number of UK Universities, charities, NHS Trusts, Local Authorities and the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit to resolve complex problems related to their activities.

Richard and his wife Rebecca have been supporting blood cancer charities since she was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2003. In 2012 he became involved with Cure Leukaemia when it was selected as Deloitte Birmingham’s charity partner, and he became a trustee in 2014.

Richard’s other interests include running, cars, and spending time with his family.
