Jackie Kelly, Events and Projects Executive

Jackie has been at Cure Leukaemia since 2010 and has played a huge part in helping the organisation grow in the decade that followed. She previously worked at Edgbaston Cricket Ground with James and Jennie.

Jackie has built an array of excellent relationships in Birmingham over the years and this has been crucial in securing long-standing Corporate Partnership and sponsorship within the region and is now growing awareness of Cure Leukaemia across the UK in the business community.

She was instrumental in securing support from BBC WM for their ‘Red Alert’ appeal in 2012 which raised over £170,000 and which propelled Cure Leukaemia forward in the West Midlands.

Jackie was central to the hugely popular Glynn Purnell’s Friday Night Kitchen and regularly organises Cure Leukaemia’s major dinners. She played a key role in securing the support of Brindleyplace in 2014, a partnership that went on to enable Cure Leukaemia’s bid to become Deutsche Bank’s national partner.

Having helped secure Deutsche Bank’s two-year support, Jackie worked closely with Joe to maximise the opportunity which raised over £2,000,000 in 2018 and 2019. This then enabled Cure Leukaemia to begin funding the national Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) from January 2020.

In 2019, Cure Leukaemia launched its ‘Put Us Out Of Business’ campaign which is now the established Corporate message for the charity which Jackie continues to promote nationwide.
