Told I Had 12 Days to Live – Tracy’s Battle with AML
Tracy was told she had 12 days to live without chemo. After a tough battle with AML, a stem cell transplant that saved her life. Now in remission, she shares her journey to raise awareness.
For the past four years, Steve Edwards has been a proud Ride Captain on The Tour 21, a role that has brought him incredible experiences and lasting memories. Now, he’s gearing up for his biggest personal challenge aiming to raise £10,000 to give back to Cure Leukaemia. Steve is planning on Everesting Puig Major in Mallorca on 28th May 2025, a date with profound significance as it marks World Blood Cancer Day.
Everesting is a grueling cycling challenge where participants climb the height of Mount Everest (8,848 meters) in a single ride. For Steve, this means scaling Puig Major repeatedly until he reaches over 10,000 meters of elevation gain – an astonishing feat that will involve riding 294 kilometers over 16 to 18 hours.
Steve’s ride will be tracked on Strava and you can follow his journey and support his fundraising efforts on his JustGiving page:
