Lucy Bronze MBE, Alessia Russo and former Lionesses legend, 90-capped Faye White wowed a captivated audience in London and spoke fondly of how proud they are to be role models to help grow support for Women’s football.
Hosted by Gala Events and Sky Sports’ Hayley McQueen, the trio spoke candidly about the journey that the squad has been under with Sarina Wiegman and the progress made in women’s sport along with their iconic achievements this year.
James McLaughlin, Chief Executive at Cure Leukaemia commented:
“It was a great afternoon yesterday courtesy of Gala Events and Alan George at the “Lunch with the Lionesses” hearing from three Lioness legends.”
“There was brilliant and open insight from Faye White, Alessia Russo and Lucy Bronze about their respective journeys to becoming Lionesses. I love how all three are proud to be role models to help grow support for Women’s Football.”
“I saw first hand how engaged they all were with their time , taking selfies and chatting with guests. It was so refreshing to see especially given Alessia and Lucy had to get up at 4am on the morning after the previous night’s game vs Scotland.”
