Cure Leukaemia is delighted to announce that Inchcape have become the Headline Sponsor of this years’ Tour of the TAP, part of the charities “Your14” national fundraising campaign within Blood Cancer Awareness Month this September.

In addition, Village Hotels, Santini, Protein Rebel, Clover HR and Culture Recruitment have all joined as sponsors for the event where Cure Leukaemia CEO, James McLaughlin, runs 14km from the 12 x Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) locations across the UK between the 9th and 23rd September to recognise that every 14 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with blood cancer.  In addition, and as if that isn’t enough, for 2022 James has added running in the London Marathon on the 5th October to his challenge meaning he will be running the equivalent of 5 marathons in 3 weeks!

James McLaughlin spoke of the sponsors for this years running feat.

“We are thrilled that Inchcape are supporting as the headline sponsor of the Tour of the TAP this year, their support is adding a whole new dimension to how we can bring this event to life in each of the cities I visit.”

“Furthermore, having Santini produce a specially designed running shirt, Village Hotels offering accommodation throughout the UK at their hotels, Protein Rebel being our Official Sports Nutrition and Recovery Partner and Clover HR and Culture Recruitment each sponsoring a leg of my tour, 2022 promises to be the biggest and best year yet!”

James will be running in 12 different cities across the UK between the 9th and 23rd September 2022, alongside Cure Leukaemia supporters, patrons, sponsors and the specialist nurses the charity funds who undertake the globally significant trials.
He is encouraging everyone to do either donate to his fundraising total or do their own Your14 challenge and get sponsored, James added:

“Cure Leukaemia funds trials that offer hope for patients touched by this indiscriminate disease and moves treatments forward for patients both now and in the future.  Personally, I am aiming to hit a cumulative fundraising target of £100,000 this year with this event and I urge everyone to get involved in Your14, do whatever you want involving the number 14 in whatever imaginative way you want, get sponsored and help us continue to support the TAP network.”
