We are looking for runners to join ‘Team Cure Leukaemia’ for the BUPA Great Birmingham run, being held on the 20th October 2013.

The Birmingham Great Run is the UK’s fastest growing half marathon with over 20,000 people expected to take part and we want you to be one of them. We have bought places for this year’s run after the success of the 2012 Team, which included some of our very own research nurses, Cure Leukaemia Patron, Warwickshire’s new director of cricket Dougie Brown and England batsman Jonathan Trott and of course our wonderful supporters!

In 2013 Cure Leukaemia is celebrating its 10th anniversary by launching a new £1 million appeal, Cure Leukaemia for Kids. The aim of Cure Leukaemia for Kids is to raise as much funds into research and run as many new pioneering drug trials that will help increase survival rates of children suffering from the disease.

We need your help to raise these vital funds by joining Team Cure Leukaemia and helping us achieve our target of raising £100,000!

James McLaughlin, chief executive at Cure Leukaemia says:

"Funds raised from the BUPA Great Birmingham Run will go a long way in helping us achieve our goal of raising £1 million in the fight to find a cure and support children battling this awful disease. Please sign up today and help us, I have signed up as part of the team and look forward to running alongside our fantastic supporters.”
