Season's Greetings from the Cure Leukaemia Team

As this year draws to a close; Jackie, Joe, Gemma, Jennie, Bobby, Andrew, Paul, Lynn and myself would like to wish you all a safe and restful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

2020 has been a year of unprecedented challenges with Cure Leukaemia facing a fundraising shortfall of £1,500,000 due to COVID-19. However, as ever, the spirit and togetherness of the CL Family has never been stronger at such a challenging time.

Whether you climbed, box-jumped or cycled Everest, baked cakes, joined the CL Lifesavers 100 Club, took part in the 2.6 challenge, designed a running shirt, added songs to 'Boredom Bangers,' ran raffles, introduced us to new opportunities, shared your story, repaired and sold bikes to raise funds, published cookbooks, committed to taking part in the postponed Tour 21, London 2 Paris, Dragonboat or Copa Del CL, continued your regular donation, took on your own cycling or running challenges or played your part in helping us raise over £20,000 from the Tour of the TAP towards the end of the year we could not have got through 2020 without you all.

There will be more challenges to face in 2021, however, we will always remain positive and our drive and determination to make next year the most successful in the charity's history has never been stronger.

Next year, Cure Leukaemia will celebrate its 18th Birthday and we intend to make it a true celebration of everything you have helped us build over those 18 years. We have a host of exciting and engaging ideas, events and campaigns in store to share with you all early in the New Year.

Cure Leukaemia is now officially a national charity funding nurses across the United Kingdom and it is now the official charity partner of the Tour de France in the UK. It is remarkable to take a step back to see how far this charity has come in recent years and this progress has been built on the ever-strengthening foundations of the CL Family.

On behalf of all the blood cancer patients across the UK who have continued to have hope through access to potentially life-saving clinical trials because of your continued support, thank you.

Please stay safe and I hope you are still able to have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year.
