I’ve nearly finished my week of work experience with Cure Leukaemia, and I’ve absolutely loved it. I’ve been doing odd jobs around the office, made some awful coffee which I apologize for and experienced the way they run this fantastic charity, as well as seeing the huge amount of effort that goes into it. It was awesome to be working around such great people! Jackie, James, Tracey and Ali are so incredibly kind. Even Joe had his moments (kidding). They’ve been really busy organizing their big events, like the celebration of their 10th anniversary, and the Bupa Run in Birmingham which sounds like it will be so much fun.
On Tuesday we gave out fliers to the small businesses around the office to promote the Bupa run even more, despite the incredible amount of people who have already signed up to Team Cure Leukaemia! We also went down to Edgbaston cricket ground with the charity’s Chairman Ian Allen for a few photos to mark the on-going partnership between Cure Leukaemia and Warwickshire County Cricket Club. Then this morning I went to the Rewired office who deliver Cure Leukaemia’s marketing campaigns, and they kept me very busy. Along with many other things, Cure Leukaemia have given me a great experience.
I’m really grateful that I could spend a week here, especially for such an amazing cause, so thank you!
Good luck with the run!
