Lots to look forward to...

It has been a busy few months at Cure Leukaemia, planning for what is set to be a fantastic year for the charity...and hopefully our best yet!

There have been some fantastic achievements from a number of our fundraisers already this year, most notably from Harry and Alex who completed their epic Rowing 4 Research journey on February 1st, raising an astonishing £152,566 for Cure Leukaemia and JDRF.

But there are a number of great days that we'll be bringing you in 2014 that are not to be missed...

  • As a big football fan myself, it is exciting to be working on the Club Legends Cup, a truly unique football tournament coming to the LG Arena Birmingham in July this year. Football and Leukaemia have been closely linked recently, therefore a host of former football legends will come together to raise money for Cure Leukaemia. On the day itself I'll be cheering on the legends of my team, Coventry City and it is set to be a day that will engage the whole family, so don't miss out and get your tickets now!

  • After the success of last year's Great Birmingham Run, this year plans to be bigger and better than ever before. We are aiming to raise £250,000 which would once again be our biggest fundraising event to date...to do this we need your fantastic support more than ever. To achieve this we will need 1,000 amazing runners to pound the streets of Birmingham in the red and white of Cure Leukaemia so whether you're new to running or have ran for years, I would love you to join us as part of our team for a very, very special day. I am already signed up and it is so simple for you to sign up too, simply get in touch with me via joe@cureleukaemia.co.uk to secure your place today.

  • Ever heard of the Color Run? Well nor had I until late last year until one of our fundraisers got in touch to say they were participating in the Manchester 5km Color Run. After a little research and watching the video below, we thought that this event was perfect for the CL family and would be great if it came to Birmingham. Luckily, Birmingham was chosen as a venue for 2014 so on August 16th the Color Run will come to the second city and we would love you to run for Cure Leukaemia. For more information visit the website HERE and get set for an explosion of colour!

We also have a once in a lifetime opportunity in 2014 for a selection of 20 keen runners...if you want to be part of an extraordinary few days this year then keep an eye on the website where we will be bringing you more information about what this entails in the coming weeks!

Remember, if you ever want to get in touch with the team at Cure Leukaemia about how you can get involved then we would love to hear from you, you can email me directly via joe@cureleukaemia.co.uk or call 0121 236 9202!
