Joining the team!

Bobby Bridgeman

Hello everyone!

My name is Bobby and I've joined the team at Cure Leukaemia this week as Media Manager. I worked for over six years at Aston Villa FC as a broadcast journalist and got to know the team here after Stiliyan Petrov was diagnosed with acute Leukaemia.

I realised what amazing work is done by the charity to save lives across the West Midlands and beyond and when the opportunity came up to join the team it was a very easy decision for me.

I will be filming everything going on at the charity and hopefully bringing the stories of our fundraisers, patients and staff to life through video. So make sure you keep an eye out on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and the website for lots of video content from this point on.

The videos will be one part of my role but that will be just one facet and I'm hugely excited to play a part in everything we do here. If you have a story you think could come to life through film then feel free to let me know about it by contacting me on bobby@cureleukaemia.co.uk.

Everyone has been so welcoming and I can't wait for the BUPA Great Birmingham Run a week on Sunday which is sure to be a memorable occasion.

Bobby
