Leaving a Legacy in your Will

Leaving a legacy in your Will is one way in which you can support the work of Cure Leukaemia.
Legacies are an important source of funding for many charities and a growing number of people are choosing to remember a cause close to their heart after providing for their nearest and dearest.
Any amount you would like to leave will help us to continue supporting the Centre for Clinical Haematology at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham in its ambition to find innovative and effective treatments for patients with leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders.
Your gift, however large or small, is really important to us.

If you would like more information about leaving a legacy to Cure Leukaemia please contact John Latham on 0121 627 5858. He can give you more information and will send you our leaflet on leaving a charitbale legacy in your will.
The Remember a Charity website, at www.rememberacharity.org.uk contains very useful information on your next steps and a Free Guide to making a Will when leaving a legacy to a Charity.

In Memoriam Giving

Individual Donations

Donations in memory of a loved one are a very personal way to remember someone special and we at Cure Leukaemia really value all gifts made in memory. Please download an In Memoriam form by clicking here. You can then send this, with a cheque, to the Cure Leukaemia office. All donations will be acknowledged.

An In-Memoriam Fund

It may be that you would like friends and relatives to make donations to Cure Leukaemia rather than send flowers, or it may be that many of them express this preference. Everyone has their own way of paying tribute to a loved one and it is up to those closely involved to decide what they feel is appropriate.
The Just Giving website, a link to which appears on our Home page, now offers a facility for you to set up a page to enable relatives and friends to contribute to an individual Memorial fund for your own particular loved one.
To do this, click on the link www.justgiving.com/cureleukaemia/remember
You should find the site self-explanatory, but give us a ring if you are unsure of how to use it.

TLC CHARITY LOTTERY

This Birmingham based lottery was originally set up by three local charities, but you can nominate Cure Leukaemia as your selected charity. Entering the lottery benefits Cure Leukaemia and also the three founding charities:

- Acorns Children's Hospice
- Birmingham St Mary's Hospice
- Birmingham focus on Blindness

We know that when people play a charity lottery it isn’t just about the prizes, it’s also an easy way of donating and doing your bit to help. Still, it’s always nice to get something back and every week there are 164 winners including a top cash prize of £1,000. In addition, the odds of winning are actually better than with the National Lottery. Then every October we hold our Anniversary Bumper Draw with a jackpot of £5,000.

You can find out more, and enter if you wish, on the TLC Lottery website - click here
