The weekend started badly in my house. My wife's dad is Irish and she was up at some ungodly to watch them get adequetly stuffed by the Welsh team.
Then we were watching the England v France game and were extremely disappointed at the non start of the England team.
The afternoon didn't fair much better. I went to Moseley RFC to watch them play. They were hosts to London Welsh. Play started and it soon became clear that London Welsh were a strong side and the points started piling up against Moseley. Moseley did manage to pull points back but after having a player sent off it wasn't looking promising. Despite a valiant effort, the game ended with London Welsh winning 41-16.
However, the day was a good day for Cure Leukaemia. I was at the game with one of our Research Nurses as we had been invited to attend the game to accept a cheque. Supporters and friends of the club had completed a 22 mile walk from Stratford to Birmingham earlier in the year and managed to raise a whopping £3047.
I look forward to going back to Moseley on Sat 22nd October at 3pm as they take on Rotherham Titans. For more info on Moseley RFC visit their website - Moseley RFC
